Disc Golf Accuracy and Distance Control Practice

Fieldwork Drills

Fieldwork Drills turn open-field practice into a scored accuracy session. Players throw controlled lines at specific landing zones instead of only throwing for distance.

Stop just throwing far. Start hitting lines.

Fieldwork Drills FAQ

Quick answers for players starting this challenge.

What is disc golf fieldwork?

Disc golf fieldwork is focused practice away from a course where players repeat specific shots, angles, distances, and landing zones.

How often should I do fieldwork drills?

One focused fieldwork session per week is enough for many players. Add more only if recovery, form, and attention stay sharp.

What discs should I use for fieldwork?

Use the discs you actually throw on the course: a straight midrange, stable fairway, understable option, and approach disc are good starting points.

How do I set up target zones?

Use minis, towels, cones, or visible landmarks to make target boxes. Keep them large enough to reward usable golf shots, not perfect throws only.

Is fieldwork better than playing rounds?

Fieldwork and rounds solve different problems. Fieldwork builds repeatable shots; rounds test decisions, lies, and pressure.
