This policy explains the information DiscFunktional collects through the store, accounts, tools, forms, public sharing features, and optional analytics, and the choices available to you.
Scope and operator
This policy applies to discfunktional.com and the DiscFunktional store, My DiscFunktional accounts, Bag Builder, Disc Finder, Practice Lab, Course Guides, public bag sharing, lead and feedback forms, and related support. DiscFunktional is the public-facing brand operating these services. The store currently sells and ships physical products within the United States.
Information we collect
We receive information directly from you, automatically from your browser or device, and from service providers involved in payments, fulfillment, shipping, email, analytics, security, and account operation.
How we use information
- Provide accounts, saved bags, recommendations, practice history, course tools, public sharing choices, and other requested features.
- Process orders, payments, fulfillment, shipping, returns, fraud review, and customer support.
- Respond to contact messages, applications, course reports, feedback, accessibility requests, and content concerns.
- Send marketing only when you choose to subscribe, manage confirmation and unsubscribe requests, and deliver disclosed signup or review incentives.
- Remember consent and browser preferences, maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot errors, and protect the site and users.
- Measure and improve site navigation, products, content, tools, and checkout when optional analytics are allowed.
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, recordkeeping, dispute, and enforcement obligations.
Public and unlisted sharing
Player profiles, bags, practice activity, and course data are private unless a feature gives you a visibility choice and you select public or unlisted sharing. Public content can be viewed and copied by others and may appear in search results. Unlisted content is intended for people with the link and is marked noindex, but an unlisted link is not a password. Change the visibility or delete the content if you no longer want it shared. Search caches, recipients, legal records, and backup copies may persist for a limited time.
Cookies, analytics, and tracking choices
Essential cookies and local browser storage keep the cart, account, security, consent, and tools working. Optional analytics help us understand visits and usability. Rejecting optional analytics prevents analytics cookies and full optional measurement and keeps Microsoft Clarity blocked. In Google’s denied consent mode, Google may still receive limited cookieless consent or measurement signals such as consent state, timestamp, referrer, browser/user-agent details, and request or IP-derived information. Use Cookie Policy & Choices or the persistent Manage Consent control to accept or reject optional categories.
California Do Not Track disclosure
Browsers may send a “Do Not Track” signal, but there is no single accepted technical standard for that signal, so the site does not currently change its behavior in response to ordinary DNT alone. Use the site’s consent controls to manage optional analytics. When optional analytics are allowed, Google or Microsoft may collect activity over time and across different websites or services under their own policies. If a legally binding opt-out preference signal applies to DiscFunktional, it will be handled as required by applicable law; this statement does not claim that every state privacy law applies to this business.
How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected and for legal, accounting, security, backup, fraud-prevention, and dispute obligations. Account and saved-tool data generally remains while the account is active or until deletion is requested. Order records may be kept longer for tax, accounting, warranty, fraud, and transaction records. Marketing preferences remain until you unsubscribe or request deletion, with a limited suppression record kept so the unsubscribe remains effective. Security, form, email, analytics, and backup records rotate on operational schedules and may remain for a limited period after live data is removed.
Your choices and privacy requests
- Update account information and visibility choices from My DiscFunktional where available.
- Make a private bag or leaderboard choice public only when you want to share it, and change it back when you do not.
- Reject or withdraw optional analytics through Manage Consent.
- Unsubscribe from marketing with the link in any marketing email. Transactional order and account messages may still be sent.
- Use the Contact page to request access, correction, export, deletion, or another privacy review. Identify the request and the email/account involved. We may verify identity and may retain information where law, security, fraud prevention, accounting, or another valid exception requires it.
Residents of some states may have additional rights when the relevant law applies. We will review a request under applicable law and will not discriminate against a person for exercising a legally protected privacy right. Providing this request process does not represent that DiscFunktional meets every state-law coverage threshold.
Children and minors
DiscFunktional is a general-audience site and is not directed to children under 13. Accounts and forms are intended for people age 13 or older. A person under the age of legal majority should use the site with a parent or guardian, and purchases must be made by an adult or with an adult’s authorization. If you believe a child under 13 submitted personal information, contact us so we can review and take appropriate deletion steps.
Security
We use access controls, software updates, encryption in transit, payment-provider controls, spam and abuse protections, backups, and other reasonable safeguards appropriate to the service. No website, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Use a unique account password and contact us if you believe an account or order has been compromised.
Changes and contact
Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date and, when appropriate, an additional notice in the account or on the site. For a privacy request or question, use the Contact page and select or write “Privacy.”
