Pack the bag around trusted scoring discs first, then add event essentials: the required marker and scoring setup, water and food, weather protection, towels, backups for high-consequence roles, and the tournament’s check-in information. Night-before disc check
Confirm that the putting putters, primary approach disc, controlled fairways, wind option, and any course-specific driver are present and identifiable. Replace a missing favorite with the backup you have already practiced—not an untested disc bought on the way to the course.
Intentional backups make sense for a putting putter, a water-carry driver, or another role whose loss would materially change the round. Avoid filling every pocket with “just in case” choices that create indecision.

Scenario: forecast changes overnight
If calm conditions become wind and rain, update towels, layers, grip plan, and one practiced wind slot. Do not rebuild the entire bag around discs you have never thrown wet. Familiar control remains the center; the weather kit protects it.
