Choose your DiscFunktional size by comparing the product’s measurements with a similar garment that already fits you. Use the chart for that specific product: the fitted women’s tank, relaxed First Run Tank Top, tee, and hoodie have different cuts. For socks, start with the shoe-size ranges below.
Measure a garment you already like
- Choose a useful comparison. Use a tee for a tee, a fitted tank for the fitted tank, and a hoodie for the hoodie. A loose T-shirt will not tell you how a fitted ribbed tank should sit.
- Lay it flat. Smooth the garment without stretching it. Keep the front and back aligned so folds do not shorten the measurement.
- Measure across the width. Measure straight across the chest at the underarms, following the method in the product’s Size & Care section. A flat width is the distance across the garment, not a body measurement taken around your chest.
- Measure the length. Measure from the highest point of the shoulder beside the collar to the hem. Check the product’s measurement instructions before comparing.
- Compare in one unit. Read either inches or centimeters throughout. Look at both width and length before selecting the closest size for your preferred fit.
Record your comparison garment’s measurements, the product name, and the size you are considering. This is more useful than remembering that you usually buy a medium. Charts describe garment dimensions; they do not guarantee that two different cuts will feel identical.
Apply the fit notes for your chosen top
First Run Tee: compare your preferred T-shirt
The First Run Tee uses lightweight, pre-shrunk fabric with a crew neck. Compare it with a tee whose shoulder fit and length already work for you. Check its measurements and follow the care label rather than relying on the pre-shrunk description alone.
First Run Tank Top: allow for the relaxed cut
The First Run Tank Top has a relaxed fit and drop armholes. Check a similar sleeveless garment if you have one. Pay attention to the arm opening and coverage you prefer when reaching, bending, or wearing a bag.
Women’s DiscFunktional Tank Top: compare a fitted tank
The Women’s DiscFunktional Tank Top has a fitted stretch silhouette, micro-rib fabric, a high neckline, and a mid-length cut. Measure your comparison tank without pulling the ribbing wider. Read its width as a flat garment measurement; do not compare that number directly with a tape measure wrapped around your body.
First Run Hoodie: follow the size-up guidance
The First Run Hoodie runs small. The product guidance recommends ordering one size larger than your usual size. Use that as your starting point, then compare the chart with a hoodie that fits over the shirt you plan to wear underneath. Check length as well as width rather than assuming a larger size only adds room through the chest.
Choose crew socks by shoe size
All four current DiscFunktional sock designs use these size ranges:
- M: US men’s 6–8.5; US women’s 7–9.5; EU 38–41.
- L: US men’s 9–11.5; US women’s 10–12.5; EU 42–45.
- XL: US men’s 12–14.5; US women’s 13–16; EU 46–49.
Use the sizing system shown on shoes that fit you; an EU number is not a US size. These ranges apply to Disc Golf Or Die Socks, “Represent Different” Gnome Socks, “Built Different” Gnome Socks, and “No Rules. Just Rip.” Gnome Socks. There is no separate color selection for these designs.
Between sizes or unsure about a measurement?
First decide what you want to change: width, length, coverage, or room for a layer. Compare both candidate sizes with your measured garment. Sizing up is not a universal fix for every cut, especially if the smaller size already has the length you want.
If a measurement or available option is unclear, contact DiscFunktional before ordering. Include the product name, the size you are considering, and the garment measurements you are comparing. Check the current return policy before relying on a return to resolve an uncertain fit.
For outfit planning, read what to wear for disc golf. After ordering, use the printed apparel care guide and the label supplied with your garment.
