For current DiscFunktional printed tops, use a cold, gentle wash inside out and air drying or low tumble heat. Check the item’s label before the first wash.
Check which item you are washing
The current First Run Tee, First Run Tank Top, and First Run Hoodie use direct-to-garment printing. The Women’s DiscFunktional Tank Top uses a printed film transfer. The four crew-sock designs use sublimation. Check the product you own instead of applying one decoration method’s instructions to every item in your closet.
Wash printed tops inside out
- Use cold water, a gentle cycle, and similar colors.
- Turn the garment inside out before washing.
- Use mild detergent in the recommended amount; skip fabric softener.
- Air dry or tumble dry on low heat.
- If ironing is needed, use a cool iron on the reverse side. Do not iron the print.
For direct-to-garment prints, the care guidance also says not to dry clean and to use non-chlorine bleach only when necessary. Check the item’s own label before using any bleach or stain treatment.
Give crew socks their own quick check
Wash the current sublimated crew socks cold, at no more than 86°F / 30°C. Do not bleach or dry clean them. Hang drying is recommended; low tumble heat is also an option. Pair the socks before putting them away so the size and design stay together.
Make the after-round routine easy to repeat
When you unpack, separate clothing that needs washing from the clean spare layer you brought home. Empty hoodie pockets and check for a marker, scorecard, keys, or a folded receipt before the garment goes into the wash.
Use the same short routine each time: identify the item, read its label, turn printed tops inside out, choose the correct cycle, and check the drying setting. If someone else does the laundry, keep the instructions with the item instead of expecting them to recognize the printing method.
Choose fit before ordering
Do not plan to use a hotter wash or drying cycle to change the fit. Compare garment measurements before ordering, then follow the care instructions for the size you bought. The size guide explains the different cuts and the hoodie’s specific size-up recommendation.
If the label is missing, difficult to read, or different from this guide, contact DiscFunktional with the product name and the instruction you need clarified. Do that before experimenting with stronger cleaning products or more heat.
Keep the instructions with your kit
Save this page with your tournament packing checklist. Checking a clean shirt, dry socks, and an available outer layer while repacking makes the next round easier to prepare for. For clothing choices by conditions, read what to wear for disc golf.
